In radios like these that have bigger output tubes, 6V6, 6F6, and 6L6 I’d use a 1600 volt film cap. The counter EMF from the transformer that occurs from loud static crashes and higher audio output can damage lower voltage capacitors and the transformer. If it were to short, that could be the end of the transformer.

If it were an AA5 radio, a 630 volt yellow cap is fine.
