Zenith 70/71
#6

Ok I have replaced the ecaps and powered it on. The volume control does not really do too much. Strong stations are too loud and can't turn down so I will take it apart and see what going on. I'm not sure what I am looking at on the schematic for the volume control. Are there two windings in there?

The speaker is shot. The cone is very stiff and it does not move back and forth. Someone has put tape all around the perimeter of the cone and painted it with something maybe hard glue. Probably would sound ok at low volume.
