RCA 6K3 Preliminary Capacitor/Resistor Research
#42

Update after testing external audio: the speaker sings as beautifully as only an 89-year old speaker reproducing the right audio channel will allow with a little evidence of needing to clean the volume control.  I was even able to test the tone control and could hear the difference so at least that also seems to be working.

So the silence is coming from the RF section it seems. The 6H6 (NOS from findatube) seems to be next in the chain backwards, is that where people would suggest we begin checking?  The chart for voltages from the service notes file seems pretty straightforward.

Is it "simply" checking DC volts from the pins of the various tubes, most going to chassis ground except as otherwise indicated (plate and heater voltages checked pin-to-pin for AC)?

Best wishes,
Roy
