Fada 1000 Component Question

Hey all - got a possible dumb question. What is this component? Is this a wave trap? This component is installed between the Loop antenna and antenna tuning condensor, and pin 4 of the RF Amp 12SK7. Not shown on the schematic. I'm thinking it is the wave trap relocated to the RF amp input instead of the oscillator input. In any case it reads open resistance. Feel free to dish some crap my way if this is a dumb question, I can take it. George
