Another Silvertone!
#4

In the 60's and 70's Silvertones were commonly though of as low rent cheapies but that was not always that case. In 1964 my best friend purchased a Sears Silvertone AM-FM portable radio that was one of the highest quality radios I have ever had the pleasure of
using. Great sensitivity, selectivity, and excellent audio.
Just North of Boston WMTW-FM Mt Washington (180 miles)and the Portland (90) and Providence (60) FM's were received so well they could have been considered locals. AM was just as good WPRO and WJAR were regulars for us in addition to WMEX, WBZ, WPTR, WKBW,
WABC, and WMCA
Yours looks like yours may have been one of Sears very high quality models.
