1938 Philco on "Lassie" TV show
#16

That may explain why I am wincing about this show being discussed right now, the episodes I saw all had John Provost in them, as "Timmy". Timmy is a name used for characters that are the butt of jokes now, probably because of Lassie or the Telethons. MeTV had some sort of showcase with Lassie and I was shocked to see that the episodes were all in colour without Timmy, those were from between 1966 and 69 I think. Lassie, who was a male collie during the whole run of the show and in every movie, seemed to be more independent in those colour episodes, more like the "Littlest Hobo".
Regards
Arran
