Desperate Tuning help on a PHilco 40-180
#1

I have a PHilco 40-180 that I just got done refinishing and looks amazing. I recapped and swapped out 99% of the resistors, all the caps, and most of the bad wire. Had it working recieving some stations. Then I thought I would fine tune it. BAD idea. Now I get only 810, which is a local strong station, and no others. I have completely messed up the tuning on this thing. Can someone please give me needed guidence on this model? All of the radio's adjustments are way out. I have a signal generator that I can do 455k, 1400kc, and 580kc, but cannot get the SW signal 18m. I can get close but not that high. PLease, someone give me some help. How should I reset the adjustments and where to begin? This radio is so close to working and I cannot get it tuned. I know the SW band works. I plan on working on it nightly so will follow your lead asap. Thank you oh knowledgable ones. Joe Icon_sad
