Scored a 38-690 today
#1

Checked it out at the country public auction today at 9AM. Scheduled to be sold after the real estate at 12:30. Drove home to do some paint prep on my house and mull it over. Returned at 11:30 and thought about it for an hour or so until it came up. While it started at $100, it quickly flew up to $450 between several bidders, one was the "left" bid being handled by the clerk. I raised my hand and $460 got it. That's the most that I've ever paid for a radio, but since the outside of the case was perfect without even some lacquer crazing, I figured, why wait to find a cheaper one? The insides look untouched and complete and buried in dust. No pic now, but just imagine an original condition 690 Icon_e_biggrin ......btw, what does the back panel look like?
