If you do the sides just go ahead and do all of it , you can do it. Do the radio justice and make it look new again, I can help you along the way if you want. If that bad picture is the top of radio I would definitely do all of it,  and new grill cloth also avalable, the horizontal bar missing is easy to make also. And the back cover can be made also if you don't have yours
