4 position tone control 90X
#16

Hi Arran,
I actually experimented with a 5/32 round head machine screw this weekend. I chucked the threads in my drill press and laying a flat file on a piece of particle board underneath the head was able to remove a good portion of the head to provide close to the right contact thickness. An additional problem with this set up is the thickness of the attaching nut. The original rivet was very thin and there is not much clearance between the back of the switch body and the chassis when mounted. The nut will definitely ground out on the chassis, so I am looking at possible alternatives (shimming the switch mount, or removing some thickness from the nut, etc,) if no one is able to provide another switch for restoration.

Do check my last post - last one on page 1. If that switch works, you may have it Icon_smile

I don't hold with furniture that talks.

Ed,
Yes that is the switch! I will email you. Thank you so very much!
