General Electric Old and New
#1

I mentioned I got a GE AA5 from a pal at work, cabinet is cleaned up, epoxiied inside and about done. The numberson the dial are fragile and I am not going to clean in that spot anymore not to rub them off. No model number and I have not found it in an archive yet.

On another GE note featured are 2 probably early eighties models recently found on the bay. Rare for me to go there and rarer to buy. I needed a better portable and this looked clean and the little table set fits on my small kitchen table. Both are surprisingly sensitive and sound pretty good. The portable is a good AM Dxer at nite.
Total for both less than 25.00. So by most standards not very vintage but by 2017 standards very vintage. Table set #7-4115B portable #7-2857A

Chassis GE pics added now.

Hey, ANY analog radio today IS vintage.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Don't know why, but I have always liked those Delmonico radios.  I think it must be the odd ball name and dual speakers, how does it sound Paul?

have not played it yet, a bit leary. Need to see the underside of the chassis. The fellow who owned it had put tape on the dial where his fave statios were, tried some goo gone and a razor but need to be very careful getting the gunk off.

Will let you know.

I always liked Delmonico potatoes!
