I have what i think is a bad rectifier tube and went to my stock to replace.
I must have not ordered any spares for future use and decided to look to Gary at play things of the past for tubes.
I see his site is up but under new mgmt.  I am looking for maybe anyone here or if you all know where i can get these tubes from a good source.  I would rather stay away from box stores if possible.

12AV6

Looked the model number up have one. Picked up at local flea with a crack in the top color is red. GE made several model of the same basic design. Different models for different colors. Some models will have small changes around the 12BE6. Fun radio not bad for a AA5.   http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Resources/696/M0007696.htm

the site does not list 12av6

my sylvania cross ref manual does not either.

google says 12av6 can cross over to 12AT6 12BK6 12BT6 12BU6

sure these may cross but what resistors/caps would need reworked.

or... are these considered direct swaps.

I see its claimed the 12at6 is a direct swap with slightly less amplificaiton.
