Philco 42-380 Plastic front bezel
#1

I just acquired a Philco 42-380 radio and the cabinet is in pretty good shape, however, the front plastic or baklite bezel is messed up with chunks of it
missing. Also missing 2 knobs.  My question for the group is, does anyone have a good complete bezel they would want to part with ? or does anyone know
where I might find one?  I looked on Radio Daze ,but they don't have anything like that.  I'm not too concerned about the knobs,as I can probably recreate
them. But that bezel just needs replaced.
Thanks for listening..

Hi Fred,
Renovated Radios caries the bezel/escutcheon. You will need to re-install the brass strip from your old bezel into the new one.

Really no need to recreate the vast majority of Philco knobs; most are plentiful.

Brad, if you noticed, there are a lot of "discontinued" parts now listed on Renovated Radios. Sadly, the owner, now in his 70s, is winding down the business. He has other things he wishes to do while he still can. He is listing his remaining stock on eBay to sell it off even quicker. He is not making new custom molds. I know because I needed push buttons for an RCA 18T made, and the owner wrote me back explaining this. It is a sad day for those of us in the antique radio restoration hobby. I truly hope somebody offers to buy him out and continue his work. So, if he still has parts listed which you need, get them while you can !

Thanks for the reply. I just was logging on to say, call off the search. I was looking in the wrong places. I did find the bezel on Renovated Radios and
I ordered one. I also noticed the same bezel on E-Bay ,and thought the E-Bay add looked alot like the Renovated Radio add. It now makes sense
that the owner is trying to move his remaining stock. It is sad that he is winding down his business. I too hope that someone else can take over his
much appreciated and need business. As for my immediate needs,I think I am set for now.
Thanks again
Fred Martin
