Need advice on replacing grille cloth on my Philco 37-116
#1

Hello everyone, picked up another Philco 37-116 for my collection and it looks nice but the grille cloth is torn. I have 2 large pieces of the correct Philco reproduction cloth I got from Radio Daze a few years ago and was wondering if anyone has a 37-116 that they replaced the grille cloth on how they put the cloth on as it would take 2 pieces to do it correctly.  Thanks, Ken

Hi Ken

Sorry - I see no one has answered this, so I'll give it a go.

I would think it would take three pieces of the chevron cloth - one large for the center, and two small pieces for the clarifier openings, with the chevron cloth properly centered so that the V shows equally spaced in the openings.
