Oh wow! Just found this thread.  Brings me back to early days on this phorum.  I did a 96 back in 2017.  Thread here:

Radio works good and actually seems to have a better high frequency response than some of my early superhets. Probably because the TRF tuning is less selective.

I have eventually replaced the speaker and shot the video, which only shows the upper part of the dial as the hum is very strong at the lower part.

I will eventually move it out of the workshop: we have bulk pickup on 16 and I am counting on getting rid of a projection TV and freeing up some space.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
