Unidentified Philco Bakelite
#1

This unit just became available on a local Canadian marketplace. The seller is unable to find a model number on the back panel. Just wondering if anybody recognizes it.

The knobs I would guess are not original. Paul

Looks like a Tropic of some sort.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Possibly a UK radio. I make this presumption based on the Long Wave band. A photo of the back available? Take care, - Gary

It's a British Philco, likely from the early 1950s. It has a very common layout for British sets starting in the post war era, a vertical slide rule dial, with short, medium, and long wave bands, all measured in meters rather then by frequency.
