Hi Everyone:

I have a Philco 70 cathedral radio with the No. 24, 27, 47 and 80 tubes.

The radio chassis was serviced a couple of years ago. Now I get no reception on it...When I place my finger on the tuning capacitor I get a nice signal, when I let off I get nothing. The antenna lead is connected.

I am wondering what the problem may be on this chassis?

Seems like the primary of the ant coil is open. Check it with an ohm meter. If it is open it's pretty easy to rewind and not very critical.
