Philco 16B CL find
#1

I picked this up today. It is intact and hopefully no surprises. Now I have this version, a shoulldered version and a 116B. When this one is cleaned up, they will all get lined up together in my home office display.

Nice find, what did you cough up for it if not a secret?

Thanks. I am happy that the chassis is original also except for two e-caps.

The walnut is in nice shape too, just the toner is flaking all over. I need to find out what color to use there. All in all an easy (it appears) restoration.

Steve,

I too would like to know the purchase price since I have one. I used Mohawk's Van Dyke toner for the dark areas when I refinished mine.

I paid 50 for it. I never pay more than that unless it is a very rare radio.

Steve nice grab. I bet it will come out beautiful when your done with it.

Thank you. I love my Philcos. They are great playing sets. This one is in really good shape considering. No significant repairs and the cabinet should be an easy restore.
