Not at the house so I will have to check tomorrow.

This diagram says it is either .000020 or .000010mfd. Cant tell if the first color is red or brown

Just put a 25mmfd cap in it and be done w/it.
Don't think its in a tuned circuit its a coupling cap.

If that cap exploded, its probably C21 which is connected across the AC line. That's not a mica cap but an infamous Micamold paper cap, which looks like its rated at 0.1 uf, 400 V. The explode regularly when used as a line cap.

Is it ok to use. 450 volt 8 mfd I. Place of a 500v?
I am working on a halson 50R and the 50x has the same tube lineup.

I am replacing the ecaps and there is that infamous box cap. It says 8 on it. But under it the positives are cut. Could this 8 @ 500 be the replacement?
