Welcome Turtle! Can you post a pic of your Philco model xf19? If so, that would help alot in determining the value for your resale-value question. Im confident that it would be worth your time posting a pic of your Philco xf19 here, and perhaps we can help you find more info on it as well? Icon_wink

Re: xf 19 - Chuck Schwark - 12-03-2008

That is a 1940, Model 40-180. Where do you see xf 19? On the blue and white paper sticker on the inside wall of the cabinet? On the chassis somewhere?

That would not be a model number.

Chuck

Re: xf 19 - Ron Ramirez - 12-03-2008

...unless that is a Canadian Philco, in which case it is a Model 19XF.

Where are you, Turtle? In Canada...eh? Can you shed some light on this?

Re: xf 19 - Guest - 12-08-2008

Well...there...you...go. Mystery solved. Icon_smile

To answer your intital question about your set...find a copy of the most recent edition of Slusser's "Collector's Guide to Antique Radios." It is available at many bookstores and antique malls, and via this link:
