Overview: How to Add Images to Your Posts
#1

The management is frequently asked how one may post an image with their text posts here.

There are two ways to do this: using your own website space or one of the photo hosting websites, or using the "Upload attachment" tab which is visible underneath the box where you type in your text to make a post here.

1. Pictures hosted at an external source

When using images in your posts with this method, they must point to an image on a website. This could be your own personal website, or the storage space some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) give to you for storing image files such as this.

For your picture to show up in your post, it must be written out like this:

[Image: https://philcoradio.com/images/phorum/Ph...xample.jpg]

without the spaces before and after the URL (address where your image is at).

Of course, you will substitute the site where your image is at for "yourwebsite.com," and the name of your image for "image.jpg".

Need a place to host your pictures?

See here:

2. Attaching image files to your posts

This information has been revised and moved to:
https://philcoradio.com/phorum/showthread.php?tid=4407

Hope this helps, and thanks very much for your participation in the Philco Phorum!

Another question which frequently comes up is, My images are too large and I cannot post them!

This is no longer relevant as Nathan has made adjustments which allows very large photos to be displayed in the Phorum.
