I'm posting hear as we had discussed the pilot lamp earlier. Today I took home a 39-116 with its remote...THIS one still had a lense in it...a clear, faceted lense. Everything with this set appear original....Not sure if I want to pop this out and use one of my red lenses that worked very well in my 42-400...Any thoughts?

is the clear lens 3/8" or was the hole drilled out to accommodate a 1/2" common faceted lens? personally I'd have gone with a faceted glass lens if I could've found one that would fit in the existing hole. as far as I know, and ron demonstrated, these usually came with cheapo plastic lens.

if it looks good with the faceted clear, why not try using a colored bulb?
