what kind of grease to use?
#4

I've used Super Lube, a light synthetic grease with PTFE on phonographs. It works very well. You can get a 3 ounce tube at Harbor Freight. It's not very expensive and the Harbor Freight, usual 20% off coupon makes it an even better deal. In theory, it shouldn't dry out like regular grease.

I use Zoom Spout oil on the AC motor bearings. I found my Zoom Spout oil at Lowes. You can also use 3 in 1 oil for electric motors. Not sure, but I think it's in a blue can. Not to be confused with regular 3 in 1 oil which is not suitable for electric motor bearings. Whatever you do, don't use WD-40!

Regards, Tom
