Mike123, hi. provided the set is as it came from the factory your method of replacing individual components one at a time will work. I assume you are talking about resistors and caopacitors. Coils, transformers and other items are not that easy to replace and some ay be damaged. The first task should be to change the filter caps (electrolitic) in the power supply then bring it up with a dim bulb rig. It may be operating. I would not try powering up until the filter caps are changed. PL
