Philco/Hupmobile Radio
#1

I have a Philco/Hupmobile radio for my 1934 Model K Hupmobile. I am not sure how to install it. I took off the back plate and it says that the radio in a Superheterodyne Model D. The control is on the steering column marked Philco/Hubmobile. The wires on the radio are not marked so I don't know what goes where. The Hupp has a positive ground.

Would appreciate any help you can give.

HI:
I believe you have an off/no switch in the head, Is the speaker contaned in the radio? the chassie is your "A"+ your other side goes to the head then to the radio , then there is an attenna lead ,is your car a closed model? if so your antenna is the wire mesh in the roof a lead should go down the drivers side windshield post, has your radio been rebuilt? If not it's going to need it, even NOS units need to be rebuilt .
