Philco 3 prong antenna plug - 41-296
#1

I am restoring a 41-296 and would like to find a source for the three prong plug used for an external antenna. I plan to build the antenna coupler they used for this, but would really like to have the proper plug for it.

OK, please post a really good picture of socket and measure and report dimensions carefully between pins, and someone just might have one to donate. I think it would be better use Wanted Ads for this and ask that this request be transferred there. I'll scratch through my tins of odd connectors when I know more. Yeah, we share stuff here.

Give me a couple hours (maybe less), and I'll post pics of various angles of what I believe he is going for.

Pics removed. If you would like copies, please PM me.

That's it BAD! Thanks. Wish I could find the entire coupler shown in the photos, but figure that's a rare bird to get.

If you asked me nice, I might let this one go. I don't have a lot of use for it, honestly. All I get from connecting an external antenna is MORE QRM! This one came with a 41-255 I bought recently, and the set works fine on the loop.

Brenda, I would love to get it. This 296 actually belongs to a great friend, and he hasn't listened to it since 1970. Tomorrow, I am taking the chassis back to him to reinstall into the cabinet, and hopefully give it a final alignment once installed. If you really want to part with that coupler, please PM (or you can email me at w5ami (at) w5ami.net) me a price, etc. Here's saying "Pretty Please!!"

Thanks!

Didn't say anything about a price. PM me your address, it will go out either tomorrow or Monday.

Hey Brian
If you do a little looking around here on the Phourm there is a diagram of the parts and hookup of what is in side of that little raskle.
