Tom Thumb Portable
#1

Just found this radio locally, it seems to be all original and in good shape. Anyone know about these radios or have one. Pictures to follow.

Is it by Automatic Radio Co?

Have had a few over the years. Yours looks to be in good shape, some the cases warp and are hard to close. They do have a bunch very high value 1/2 resistors (1 meg +) that may be problematic. The loop antenna is part of the front door and is connected though the hinges. I think it uses a 67 1/2 and a 7 1/2v batter for the filaments.. Continental (Admiral) made some versions similar to this set. It an  A.T.T.P. model. Sam's has the info, Riders and Beitman don't.
