When attempting to tune a Philco 60 the tuning shaft just turns without the dial turning. Does anybody have any ideas on fixing this Thank you in advance. Norman

Is this the one with a bell-shaped cover going over balls pressing the shaft to the cap, bolted with two screws?
You need to clean under the bell, it works on the friction. Or simply tighten it first, see if it works. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Yes indeed it was. Its now sitting on my desk at home, kinda glad it didn't sell to tell you the truth.

Next time don't bring it.
 It was a nice radio indeed. Keep it. The $200 you wanted won't pay for the effort anyways. People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
