Wattage Rating for Two Philco Resistors
#1

Does anyone know what the wattage rating is for these Philco resistor part numbers:

33-1171 (1 MEG)

33-1169 (500K)

Thanks,
Geoff

Juxging by the values you do not need more than 1/4W anywhere in a radio.
Those usually were 1/2W resistors they used for such values.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Thanks.  It is for my Philco 640 (schematic attached).  I have a scan of a Philco Radio Parts Catalog from 1936 and was able to find the wattage for all other resistors with the exception of those 2.

I dunno what the mfr specs are but you don't need anymore than I wrote.
The sole reason I use higher wattage is the resistors are longer and so can span more gap when soldered between remote points.
