Philco Model 70 speaker problems
#1

Started to work on a Model 70, was recapped by someone, both electrolytics and a few other caps. Radio plays, some static, and uh oh, whats that smell!!! Look at the picture to see where the sparks and smells happen.  The field coil measures 55k, should be 3.1K, output transformer primary is 450, which is fine. What is going on? Thanks

Would suspect that the copper wire in the field coil failing do to rot. Options are find a replacement spkr or take your spkr apart and rewind the field coil.

figure out what all those squiggly meant.
