Indentification help needed, 1941 ish, 5 tubes

Hi new to Philco Phorum (nice btw)! 

So picked 2 units for home display and decided on one to be first to get restored, need a bit of love but overall not too bad, I havent connected it yet to see if it works, according to the pictures provided, is it safe to do? I have looked at all pictures in the gallery and could not find the same design-model, anyone can help?

The reason you can't find it in the Gallery is because your unit is a Canadian model. Our Gallery only covers the US made models.
But, your model does look similar to a model I've seen before. Canadian models often mirrored US models, just with different model numbers.

Also, I wouldn't recommend plugging it in until it has been inspected to see when it was serviced last. If it hasn't been serviced recently, it should be before playing it.
