Hi,
I added a 110 ohm 10 watt resister to the bridge rectifier, it brought the voltage to what the schematic shows.

It plays wonderful, except for a little static which can be heard with radio on and without any button in the on position and with any button in the on position it is constant. It is very slight can only be heard when you are very close to the radio, the volume control has no effect on the static. Also cannot be heard when on a station, drowned out.
I am going to clean the tube pins first.

Found my problem I had two E-caps mixed up. C4 (100uf) and C3 (2uf), I had the C3 on pin 3 of the EL84 and that is where the problem was. Here are some Pic's.

I was surprised by flimsy wires used in German radios. And super dense mounting relying on the parts rigidity to not touch things.....I had two instances of smoking due to them touching things. They bend easily.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.
