Philco 3650 Shadow Meter
#1

Hello, I need to rewind a shadow meter for a 3650 (Canadian). Anyone know what gauge wire I would need and how much and where I can get it? The wire I took off measures out to be .05mm. I believe the 3650 is the US 650. I saw the Shadow Meter Coil Rewind on this site. It says 5520 turns but I would not have clue as to how long that would be. I plan to rig up something to wind the coil. My wife's sewing machine bobbin winder could do the job I think. If not I'll rig up something with a variable speed drill.

Thanks,
Dan

I use 40ga it works out to be about 1 ohm per foot. And I just happen to have a big spool of it...

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!
