Philco K type Speaker ID problem
#1

I am trying to sort out what Output Transformers were used in each model Radio.

I have found Philco charts that are partially helpful

My Task Find correct Philco P/N for each Speaker Output Coil

Also what does the J mean tacked on some of the OT P/N ?

Speaker for the Model 20 Cathedral (So far it is 2766) IN FACT marked 2766J SAME AS 90 ??

Speaker for the Model 90 Cathedral with PP 47 tubes (So far 2635) In fact marked 2635J
This is also shown as for the Models 90B.G. 90X and 490

Speaker for the Model 90 Cathedral with PP 45 Tubes (So far same as Model 20 2766)

Now a Chart from Philco lists
Model 70 with single 47 P/N 2673
Model 90 with dual 45 P/N 2766
Model 20 not listed on this chart.

NOW I am assuming these are for the Cathedral Speakers, as I see the Model 70 and 90 Consoles using PP 45/47 Tubes uses a larger OT.

I am confused and any help trying to correctly ID OT for Philco Models
20-70-90 both Cathedral and console.

I have in my possession Speakers from a 70 Console and a 90 Console using PP, If I decide to take these apart I can them ID the coils hopefully

I also have 5 Cathedral Speakers in need of Cones and or OT
2 of these are from a Model 20 Chassis and both OT are marked 2766J (J ?)

Bob, will this help?

http://www.philcoradio.com/phorum/attach...p?aid=1134

It is a ZIPPED Excel spreadsheet showing Philco speakers made from 1929 through 1938. Includes output transformer info.

One of the Philco files for free download here:

I can tell you that J = Jefferson Transformer Corp.

The 70 does not have push-pull output.
